This photographic documentation of a four-year artistic research project contains over 200 created works and a wealth of contextual photographic material. It illustrates the inspiration and creativity of Gaspard Louane, who played a major role in the mission to breathe new life into the abandoned industrial site of Attisholz. The artist was granted a unique opportunity to make use of an immense playground, where he could practice endlessly, explore new directions, and ultimately refine his craft. The singularity of this total work of art is closely tied to the distinctive character of the location. Louane’s works present a broad spectrum of aesthetics and expressions, ranging from minimalist monochrome to colorful, figurative, and playful compositions.
